Daily Manga Pick: Girlfriends
Girlfriends has easily become one of my favorite manga. It’s a love story between two high school girls. It’s just like any other romance manga, except for the whole “they’re girls” thing. Unlike most yuri/shojo-ai manga, Girlfriends isn’t centered around sex. Yet. That’s not to say that this isn’t a provacative manga. There are a few explicit bath scenes, and even a scene where one character is reading explicit yuri hentai. Girlfriends is filled with humor, irony, angst, and heart-wrenching romance. It’s a 10 :)
